What to study

Combat keeps the whole party on screen at all times: the top bar is seven portraits with health, the bottom bar is the active ranger's actions and weapon, and the cyan boundary line on the street is the movement budget made visible before a single step is taken. The target carries its own odds (50%) and the combat log narrates the turn in plain sentences, Dani conserving 2 AP, Madeleine dealing 10 damage, so the numbers and the story of the fight sit side by side. Frame at about 37.6 s in the Wasteland 2 trailer (Steam).
