What to study

Inventory is a paper doll, a grid, and a joke in one panel: the equipment slots show what Bear wears, the backpack grid shows what he carries (11 of 81 lbs, $50 to his name), and the selected Padded Jacket gets a one-line verdict, protective padding and pockets, so practical, too bad it is worn thin. Primary and secondary weapons carry their own odds and damage ranges (60%, 7-12 for the rifle; 25%, 2-4 for the fist), so loadout and combat math are never on separate screens. Frame at about 38 s in the Director's Cut Launch Trailer (Steam), from the dense filmstrip; the scene-change pass did not land on this tab.
