What to study
The codex is a literal book: tabbed sections (Commanders, Units, Terrain, Lore, Rules) run across the top of an open spread, a portrait list fills the left page, and the right page pairs the selected commander's groove description and charge speed with a map illustration of his troops. The book furniture (page arrows, bookmark ribbon, Close button) is what makes a reference screen feel like part of the game's world rather than a help file. Frame at about 1:45 in the Launch Trailer (Steam).
