What to study

Every moon ends with the same small reckoning: a three-line panel, End of Moon 1, Time to Eat, Feed Villagers, laid over the board instead of a results screen. The design choice is restraint: the survival pressure that structures the whole game is delivered as a sticky note on the table, and because the board never leaves view, the player reads the demand and their food stacks in the same glance. Frame at about 0:17 in the gameplay_trailer (Steam; manual extraction, the panel holds between the trailer's scene cuts, after the Quest Completed beat).

Screen inventory

  • the moon phase change is announced by one cream panel at bottom left, End of Moon 1 as the heading, Time to Eat as the phase name, Feed Villagers as the instruction, three short lines, no modal takeover: the board stays fully visible behind it
  • the board it interrupts is the starter spread, unchanged: the blue House idea card still wearing its red New! burst, a three-high Berry stack, a Coin, a Berry Bush, and the Tree card with a Villager strip stacked on it, the feeding demand lands on exactly the food cards the player has been stacking
  • the pack strip above waits untouched, Sell, Humble Beginnings at 3 coins, six ??? slots, the economy pauses while the survival check runs, and the hand cursor rests inside the panel, mid-dismissal
