What to study

Planet Coaster's working HUD keeps the park itself almost bare, two round buttons top left, and puts everything into two places: a bottom toolbar that names every building category in plain words (Coasters, Track Rides, Rides, Shops and Facilities, Scenery, Building), and one context panel for whatever you clicked. Clicking the robot entertainer DEX-R opens his whole employment record as a card: what he is doing right now ('Just hanging around', an idle entertainer is a problem stated in five words), his Trainee grade and a single orange Staff Happiness bar. No spreadsheet, no submenu: selection, status and mood in one glance, while the plaza he is neglecting stays in view behind it. Frame at about 0:17 in the Planet coaster GamePlay Trailer 2 (Steam), a manual probe extraction (probes/gp2-p16.5.png at 16.5s, the last settled frame before the cut to the globe menu).
