What to study
Scenario gating as a three-column sort: the Research tab of the Scenario Editor decides what a scenario's players may build by filing every ride in the game under Unlocked, Researchable or Unavailable. The columns do the communicating, researchable rides are the only coloured rows on the page, so the 'costs effort' state reads at a glance, while locked and banned rides share one grey row design because to the editor they are the same kind of fact. Each column is also a drop target ('Add selection here'), which makes scenario balancing a sorting task instead of a property hunt through dozens of ride pages. Screen inventory
- three columns as the whole interface: UNLOCKED ('Currently selected: 0'), RESEARCHABLE and UNAVAILABLE with a red X, a ride's place in the scenario is which column it sits in, and each column ends in an 'Add selection here' drop strip
- the Unlocked column in plain grey rows, each a ride portrait, name and class: Genie (Family Ride), Hammer Swing (Thrill Ride), Victory, Whirly Rig, Sky Ace, Magic Twirl, The Screaminator, Sun Flare, Venetian Carousel, Psychola
- the Researchable column colour-tinted row by row, Kick-Flip and Insanity in blue, Gears of Fear in green, The Cube in teal, Teacups in salmon, Wild Blue and Sundial in pink, Looper and Overpower in lavender, the tint says 'available at a price' before any text does
- the Unavailable column back in grey: Scizzer, Tri-Storm, Zozo, Elixir Machine, Big Wheel, Pathos III, Iron Claw, Sky Watcher, Black Out, Coriolis, the same row shape as Unlocked, separated only by the column header, so moving a ride between states is a drag, not a settings page
