What to study
Wildermyth's tactical HUD keeps its chrome to a picture frame, one top line, two portrait cards, one row of ability cards, because the board does the rest of the talking: nameplates carry health, and interfusion, the game's signature verb, is shown as the scenery itself catching fire. The ability row rewards a close look: the cards are tall, iconic and hotkey-badged like a hand of playing cards, the selected one physically raised, with its targeting instruction typeset above the row instead of in a tooltip. Even the end-turn state is compressed into the top bar's 'Turn 9 / Z End Turn' pairing. Frame at about 0:29 in the Launch Trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v0_0001 @ 28.5s).

Screen inventory
- a slim top bar carries the whole battle state in one line: the place and objective at left ('Jilerstram, Kill the Beast'), 'Turn 9' and a 'Z End Turn' button at right with three small icon buttons
- the active hero's party sits at top left as two portrait cards (F1 Malloc Moon, F2 Cora Starling) with health bars and action-point diamonds; in the world, every combatant wears a floating nameplate with its own bar, Malloc, Cora with a heart icon, and the enemy Roe in red
- the bottom edge is the active hero's hand: five tall ability cards (Move, Strike, Interfuse, Extinguish, Done (Wait)) with big pictogram icons, action-point diamonds and hotkey badges (1, Q, E, F); the selected Interfuse card is raised and lit, and its instruction floats above the row as plain text, 'Interfuse: Select a target.'
- the battlefield itself is the third UI layer: blue tiles mark the burning interfused objects, the hay cart Malloc stands on glows gold with his interfusion, and the Roe's antlers carry the same fire, the grid reads as both terrain and status display
