What to study
Production methods are Victoria 3's core verb, and this screen teaches them in two layers. The first layer is a simple ladder in the Buildings panel's Construction tab: under the Construction Sector, the Base slot offers Wooden Buildings, Iron-Frame Buildings, Steel-Frame Buildings and Arc-Welded Buildings, each row trailing a cluster of goods icons so the recipe change is visible before it is chosen. The second layer is the tooltip, and it is a full economic forecast on one card: switching (or, as the red X admits here, not switching, 'This Production Method is already active') reprices the building's inputs (Fabric +50.0 at £20.4, Wood +150 at £24.4), restates its output (+4.0 Construction, +1.0% State Construction Efficiency) and names who gets hired, Bureaucrats +1.00K, Clerks +1.00K, Laborers +8.00K, because in this economy a technology choice is also a class choice. The panel floats over the Lisbon it describes, with the journal, commanders and a dated world log still running down the right rail. Frame at about 0:48 in the Release Trailer video (Steam), pipeline candidate v0_0011 at 48.2s.

Screen inventory
- BUILDINGS header over four tabs, Urban, Rural, Development, Construction (active), with the Construction counter 0/7 and the Construction Sector section beneath, over the 3D map of Lisbon
- Estremadura state row with its 2/35 level stepper and tool icon, anchoring the panel to a place on the visible map
- Base production-method list opened from the sector: Wooden Buildings (highlighted, active), Iron-Frame Buildings, Steel-Frame Buildings and Arc-Welded Buildings, the last two flagged with ! markers
- each method row carries its input/output goods as small icon clusters at its right edge, readable without opening anything
- the hovered method's tooltip card: 'Change Base Production Method to Wooden Buildings' with a red X note 'This Production Method is already active', Total Modifiers (+4.0 Construction, +1.0% State Construction Efficiency), Goods Consumption (Fabric: +50.0 Total £ 20.4; Wood: +150 Total £ 24.4) and Increased Employment (Bureaucrats: +1.00K Total, Clerks: +1.00K Total, Laborers: +8.00K Total), closing on 'Show per Level values'
- right rail in full game state: date February 15, 1836 (Saturday Night), 0/7 Nothing Under Construction, Active Journal Entries (Scramble For Africa), Commanders, Generals (20) with António José Seve... 10 and Luís do Rego Bar... 5, and a dated world event log (British response to Opium Ban, Jan 27, through Prussian Iberia Interest activated, Feb 7)
- top bar in game state: £ 5.7M, literacy 35.8%, standard of living 10.9, population 8.04M, and the Portuguese flag at top left
