What to study

Where the verb panel shows how actions are assembled, this frame shows how the library is navigated: Hush House is a floor plan you zoom into, and selection is a glow. The pink outline on the laboratory does three jobs at once, it says 'you are here', it groups a room's furniture into one clickable unit, and it separates finished rooms from the dashed renovation slots (crossed hammer and wrench) that are the game's long-term project. Nothing is hidden behind a management menu: the state of the whole restoration is visible in the walls themselves. Frame at about 0:19 in Welcome to Hush House (Steam; scene-change survivor v0_0003).

Screen inventory

  • the view is zoomed to a few rooms instead of the whole house: a pink glowing outline marks the selected room, the laboratory, red wallpaper, gilt frames, alembics and retorts on a long bench, a bust on the sofa, while the chapel above and a dark unbuilt room below frame it, so selection reads as a highlight, not a border
  • the room's contents are its function: glassware, specimen shelves and a workbench say 'work here' without a label, and a small white slot outline on the sofa marks an interactable object waiting for a card
  • below the selected room, a dashed-outline room carries the crossed hammer-and-wrench icon: an empty room awaiting renovation, the game's base-building promise drawn directly onto the floor plan
  • the chrome stays constant across zoom levels: the same top bar (eye and lips verb buttons at left, time track and pause controls at centre top), the same bottom card dock (Sunny, Memory: Gossip, Health, Shapt, Ereb, Lesson: Anbary & Lapidary, A Letter to the Librarian, Orchard-Keeper's Assistance), so zooming feels like leaning in, not changing screens
