What to study
Photo mode is Unpacking's one deliberately playful system, and its panel design stays in the game's picture-only language: twelve filters shown as the same box pictogram under twelve colour grades, pick by looking, never by name, a slider with no numbers, category tabs drawn as tiny icons, and a shutter button that is just a camera in a circle. The composed shot explains the mode's purpose better than any menu text: the room is untouched, but the photograph gets a giant alien sticker and a toaster in the bath. The interface separates the keepsake from the simulation, the room stays truthful, the picture is yours. Frame at about 1:27 in the Launch Trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v0_0009).

Screen inventory
- photo mode frames the room as a viewfinder: white corner brackets at the frame edges, a circular camera shutter button centred at the bottom, and at top right a hide-interface eye-with-a-slash, zoom-in and zoom-out magnifiers, and a four-arrow pan diamond
- the left panel is a grid of twelve filter thumbnails, the same little cardboard-box pictogram rendered under twelve different colour grades, with one thumbnail ringed in orange as the current selection and the white cursor arrow on it; filters are chosen by comparing pictures, not by name
- three category tabs protrude from the panel's right edge (a frame icon, sparkles, a face) and a long slider runs along the panel's bottom, the panel is a photographer's contact sheet, and the tabs are the same sticker/filter trays the mode is built from
- the photograph being composed is the joke the mode exists for: the bathroom at night, a toaster sitting in the bathtub, and a huge green alien sticker with yellow lightning bolts already placed in the centre of the frame, stickers go on the photo, never on the room
