What to study
Every finished home becomes a page in a photo album: a mounted photograph, a handwritten date, and a single caption line that carries the whole narrative, 'I have to cook for myself? Uh oh.' under a first solo kitchen. As interface design the album replaces three systems at once (level select, completion screen, story delivery) with one object the player already understands, and it refuses every game convention of reward: no stars, no percentage, no grade, just the picture and what its owner thought of it. The page-turn arrows are the only buttons, and they are triangles of paper, not chrome. Frame at about 1:00 in the Launch Trailer (Steam; manual extraction, the album opens after the book's title page and settles on this page between scene cuts).

Screen inventory
- the level ends as a page in a ring-bound album: two binder rings on the left spine, the room's photograph mounted on the cream page with triangular corner tabs, exactly like a printed photo pasted into a scrapbook
- the page's only data is handwritten: the date 'January 2004' in script at the top right, and one underlined caption line at the bottom, 'I have to cook for myself? Uh oh.', the game's entire story is told in these one-line captions under finished rooms
- navigation is two plain triangular arrows on the outer margins, previous and next page, plus one small circular-arrow icon at the page's bottom left; there is no level list, no star rating, no score, the album is the level select and the reward at once
- the photograph itself is the completed 2004 kitchen in a closer, straight-on crop than gameplay uses, toaster and kettle on the counter, so finishing a home literally turns it into a picture you keep
