What to study
Dorfromantik's front end treats modes as a tab strip of icons and saves as scored dioramas. The interesting choice is what the save list foregrounds: not dates or durations but the finished island and its score, because in a game with no fail state the score is the run's identity. Monthly Mode's fixed-seed premise, everyone plays the same map of the month, turns a solitary puzzle into a quiet leaderboard, and the interface states that in two sentences and six thumbnails. Screen-type note for Phase 2: the manifest has no dedicated main-menu type; settings-system is used here following the Surviving Mars main-menu precedent in the manifest. Frame at about 2:31 in the Full Release Explanation Trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v0_0005).

Screen inventory
- the front end is a two-panel layout in the game's flat palette: at left the hand-drawn DORFROMANTIK logo over RESUME / YOUR GAMES / REWARDS and a row of system icons (toucan, settings gear, flower, power), at right the selected mode's panel over a blurred island backdrop
- a tab strip of seven line icons runs across the top of the right panel, graduation cap, crown, speech bubble, rabbit, flame, calendar (highlighted), sprout, one icon per mode, with no text labels until the mode is selected, so the strip is learned as iconography
- MONTHLY MODE is described in plain prose, a new configuration of custom rules and a fixed seed each month, compete with others on the map of the month, and below it the Savegames grid shows six past runs as hex-shaped island thumbnails each stamped with its final score: 940, 3560, 6150, 440, 1620, 2000, plus a + tile for a new run
- the savegame thumbnails are themselves tiny dioramas of the runs they record, so the save list doubles as a gallery of what the game produces; scores, not dates, are the headline on each tile
