What to study
The Crossroads is the run's departure board: a region name (The Working Fields) up top, the candle currency counted in a diamond (100), and three item categories shown as diamond loadout panels with exact fill counts (Combat 22/30, Stagecoach 23/30, Inn 22/30), so packing the stagecoach is a visible trade-off before the Embark button is pressed. The Recollection counter (88/170) in the corner quietly tracks meta-progression across runs without competing with the departure decision. No trailer burn-in or caption overlays the frame. Frame at about 24s in the Release Trailer (Steam).
