What to study
The road trip itself gets a minimal HUD: the stagecoach and the snowy road fill the frame, while the only chrome is the party bar along the bottom (portraits plus red health bars), a leagues-to-inn counter on the right, and small status icons at top left. Distance becomes the progress bar, which is the whole design idea of the sequel: the journey between fights is the game, so the HUD measures the journey, not a dungeon floor. No trailer burn-in or caption overlays the frame. Frame at about 44s in the Kingdoms Launch Trailer (Steam).
