What to study

The campaign screen refuses to leave the planet: mission selection, story state and the Start button all live in a left-hand stack of black plaques while Kronus itself carries the mission marker. Progress is told three ways at once, a plain 25% for the campaign, named Waaagh! bars for its two warboss threads, and a map thumbnail inside the mission card, so a returning player reads where they are, whose story it is, and what the next fight looks like without opening anything. The top tab bar is the same one every other mode in this set uses, which makes the whole game feel like one room with seven doors. Frame at about 1:25 in the Gameplay Overview Trailer video (Steam), a pipeline scene-change survivor (candidates/v0_0015.png at 84.8s).

Screen inventory

  • top: the whole game's mode structure as one persistent tab bar, HOME / CAMPAIGN / CRUSADE / SKIRMISH / LAST STAND / MULTIPLAYER / PAINTER, with a second row of campaign verbs (CONTINUE / LOAD CAMPAIGN / NEW CAMPAIGN / PLAY MISSION) and settings/power icons at the far right
  • left stack: the campaign card, 'Da Biggest Boss', ORKS, a 25% completion figure set large at the card's right edge; beneath it the story so far in Ork voice next to two Waaagh! progress bars (Gorgutz 20%, Guzcutta empty)
  • the selected mission as a detail card: ROK HUNT, type Gauntlet, a top-down map thumbnail with an AUTO WIN button on it, and a briefing written in Ork dialect; START MISSION hangs off the card's bottom edge as a plaque
  • the planet Kronus fills the rest of the screen, the mission's gold hex marker and ROK HUNT label planted on its surface, the map is the world itself, not a separate screen
