What to study
Combat never leaves the field: there is no separate battle screen, and the entire battle interface is one compact panel pinned to the bottom-left corner. Three rows give a portrait, HP and MP as plain numbers (800/800, 76/80), with no bars, no command menu and no target readout in this beat, because the attack animation itself is the feedback. The panel's small footprint is the point: the fight plays out on the same bridge the party was walking on, so the HUD has to stay out of the way of the action it reports. Frame at about 1:18 in the ESRB EN Launch Trailer (Steam). No trailer caption is overlaid on this frame.
