What to study
Loop Hero battles are auto-battler reports, and the window design is honest about it: a picture frame, health bars, damage numbers and outcome words, COUNTER, EVADE, with no buttons pretending the player is in charge of the sword swings. The telling choice is what the frame does not cover: the equipment grid and stat panel remain on screen throughout, because they are the actual tactics. You do not win this window; you win the column next to it, earlier, by building better. As UI it is a spectator sport with the scorecard permanently attached. Frame at about 0:33 in the Gameplay Trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v0_0007).

Screen inventory
- combat opens as a framed window laid over the expedition, not a scene change: an ornate silver frame with a circular emblem at top centre holds the fight, a narrow annexe panel at its right shows two tall worm-like enemies, and the board, the ADVENTURE top bar, the card row at bottom and the whole right-hand equipment and STATS column stay visible around it
- inside the window there is no command menu at all: the hero's two skeleton constructs stand at left under a green 10 and the word COUNTER, three spider-like enemies at right carry slim yellow-and-blue health bars, and the fight is told entirely in floating red numbers, 11, 7, 61, 32, and verdict words, EVADE printed beside the lowest spider
- the numbers around the fight keep updating its meaning: health at right reads 1290 / 1626, and the STATS panel lists DAMAGE 35-53, VAMPIRISM 12%, COUNTER +23% and HP PER DAY +92, so the window is a report on the build in the column beside it, if the numbers are wrong, the fix is in the equipment grid, not in the battle
- the retreat figure at bottom right never leaves the corner: even mid-battle the run's exit stays on screen, the one decision Adventure mode always leaves to the player
