What to study
A classic Dawn of War HUD rebuilt around glanceability: the economy lives in one corner as stock-plus-rate, the army lives along the bottom as portraits rather than a list, and the map is a diamond, rotated to match the isometric battlefield so north on the minimap is up-screen. The floating squad icons do the quiet work, in a 60-unit brawl you read classes, not models, and the capture radius is drawn on the ground itself instead of explained in a tooltip. Frame at about 2:14 in the Gameplay Overview Trailer video (Steam), a pipeline scene-change survivor (candidates/v0_0025.png at 134.4s).

Screen inventory
- top-left: the two resources as icon, stock and income rate, requisition 914 +50 (325), power 11 +22 (7), income shown as a rate with its cap in parentheses, economy readable at a glance mid-fight
- the battlefield itself carries the second layer: every squad wears a small floating class icon (sword, shield, cog), a capture point shows its +65 gain as a floating numeral inside a blue control radius
- bottom-left: the minimap as a rotated diamond in a spiked frame, blue and red force blobs, the camera frustum drawn as a green trapezoid
- bottom-centre: the army as a strip of unit portraits with health bars and class pips, a '0 | 5 Reserve' counter and a Build Menu strip at bottom-right with three ability icons
