What to study

Phoenix Point's roster treats soldiers as a list of bodies with budgets: every row repeats hit points and stamina, the selected figure gets a full 3D presentation, and the attributes column translates the person into six numbers, strength, willpower, speed, perception, accuracy, stealth, that feed directly back into the tactical layer's willpower economy seen in the battle frame. The callsigns and the EDIT UNIT button are the design's two promises: these are individuals you keep, and this screen is only the viewing half, the numbers are tuned elsewhere. That split (roster here, loadout in the next frame) keeps each screen to one job. Frame at about 0:33 in the Gameplay Trailer (Steam; manual extraction, the scene-change pass caught only the surrounding trailer segments).

Screen inventory

  • the roster is a five-row list for MANTICORE 1 (5/6): Ronan 'Shambo' Weir, Zacharias 'unk1nd0ne' Schaefer (selected, highlighted orange), Johan 'Killpop' Tegstrom, Strolch 'Tramp' Landstreiche and Remzi 'Remo' Fritscher, callsigns included, because these soldiers are named people, not unit types
  • each row carries the same three facts: class icon, weapon icon, and two bars, HIT POINTS 180/180 and STAMINA 40/40, so the whole squad's fitness is comparable at a glance, and a yellow weapon icon with an exclamation mark flags rows that need attention
  • the selected soldier stands centre as a full 3D figure on a lit disc, in green patterned armour with a heavy rifle, flanked by a name strip with prev/next arrows and an EDIT UNIT button, the roster is a viewing gallery with an edit door, not the editor itself
  • the right column is the ATTRIBUTES panel, and it is the frame's real content: HIT POINTS 180/180, STAMINA 40/40, then STRENGTH 18, WILLPOWER 8, SPEED 13, PERCEPTION 35, ACCURACY 40%, STEALTH 20%, six numbers that define what this soldier can do, with READY ITEMS (pistol, grenade, one EMPTY slot) below
  • the same resource top bar and GEOSCAPE-to-PHOENIXPEDIA bottom nav as the Bases screen frame the roster as the same strategic layer, one tab over, the game never lets the player forget the roster is a department, not a menu
