What to study
This is the trailer's 'MAKE IT SMALLER' beat, and the frame only makes sense against the first solution kept alongside it: same PRODUCTS diagram, same three reagents, same three arms, but the machine has been rebuilt from a long diagonal chain into a tight triangular cluster at the centre of the grid, product berths, glyph plates and reagent berths packed edge to edge. The readout strip tells the trade in two numbers: AREA has fallen from 37 to 21 hexes, while COST has risen slightly, 140G to 150G, and the price of compactness is visible in the timeline, whose three instruction tracks are now packed with tiles for nearly their whole length, longer programs steering atoms through a smaller space. Opus Magnum's optimisation loop needs no separate screen: because cost and area are printed on the editor itself, a redesign reads as a direct comparison between two states of one screen, and the trailer can make its argument, smaller is a different machine, not a better score, with two frames and no commentary. Frame at about 0:27 in the Opus Magnum Trailer (Steam), pipeline candidate candidates/v0_0005.png at 26.6s, copied unchanged (MD5 matches the candidate).

Screen inventory
- the same target molecule as the first-solution frame, assembled in a tight triangular cluster at centre: product berths, two grey glyph plates with triangle engravings, and reagent berths packed edge to edge
- only three arms, numbered 1, 2 and 3, with arm 2 on a short track and arm 3 at the mercury berth
- the readout strip reading 'PRODUCTS: 6/6', 'COST: 150G', 'CYCLES: ----' and 'AREA: 21'
- three instruction tracks (1, 2, 3) packed densely with instruction tiles for almost their whole visible length, longer programs than the first solution's
- the left panels unchanged in structure: PRODUCTS molecule diagram, REAGENTS air/lead/mercury atoms, MECHANISMS arms priced 20G/30G/30G/30G

Fetched 2026-10-22. verified 2026-10-22: pipeline candidate frame inspected visually at full resolution (1920x1080); real game UI (compact triangular machine for the same product, arms 1/2/3, two glyph plates, readout PRODUCTS 6/6 / COST 150G / CYCLES ---- / AREA 21, three densely filled instruction tracks) confirmed visible and legible; no trailer caption, watermark or logo overlays the editor
