What to study
The town screen refuses to be a menu: the Hamlet is one painted vista and the buildings themselves are the navigation, hovering a roof names it and states its job in a single line ('Sanitarium, treat quirks and diseases'). The heroes never leave the screen while you manage the town: the full roster is docked as a rail down the right edge, each row a portrait, a name, a resolve-level badge and weapon/armour levels, with the roster count (13 / 25) at its head. Wealth is shown in both of the game's currencies along the bottom, 6,160 gold beside four separate heirloom counters (10 / 10 / 10 / 24), because buildings are bought with one and upgraded with the other, and the Embark button sits in the middle of that same bar, one click from management to expedition. Frame at about 0:22 in the Official Release Trailer (Steam), manually extracted at 22.0s: the scene-change pass returned no frames at all for this video.
