What to study

The densest machine in the trailer, and the only keeper built around a single element. Where the elemental puzzle split one molecule into four elements, this frame runs the other way: two loose fire atoms in REAGENTS become a six-atom fire product, and the machine that does it is the largest in the set, ten numbered arms and two long piston tracks spanning the grid, at COST 350G and AREA 43, the highest cost of any kept Opus Magnum screen. The piston tracks are the new mechanism on display: arms that slide along a rail instead of swinging from a fixed pivot, and the MECHANISMS panel prices them, a 30G piston beside the 5G berth plate. No other keeper shows a piston track in use, and no other keeper shows a machine this large serving so small a product, which is the point: in Opus Magnum, scale is a design choice with a price tag, not a sign of progress. Frame at about 47 seconds in the Opus Magnum Trailer (Steam), pipeline candidate candidates/v0_0011.png at 47.3s, inspected at full resolution (1920x1080); the ten numbered arms, both piston tracks, and the PRODUCTS 6/6 / COST 350G / AREA 43 readout legible; no trailer caption, watermark or logo overlays the editor.

  • a fire-atom machine: glowing orange fire atoms (upward triangle glyphs) seated in berths down the centre of the grid, ten magenta arms numbered 1 to 10 in purple roundels
  • two long horizontal piston tracks, one across the top of the machine and one across the bottom, with arms riding them
  • the readout strip reading 'PRODUCTS: 6/6', 'COST: 350G', 'CYCLES: ----' and 'AREA: 43'
  • six numbered instruction tracks (1 to 6) filled with long white tile groups
  • the left panels: PRODUCTS showing the fire-atom molecule diagram, REAGENTS two loose orange fire atoms, MECHANISMS arms priced 20G/30G/30G/30G plus a piston at 30G and a berth plate at 5G
