What to study
March of Giants is a MOBA played at army scale, and its battlefield HUD is a refusal to build a dashboard: everything a player needs floats over the field itself, attached to the things it describes. Each Giant wears the same three-part plate, a name, a segmented health bar with its health figure (52k, 27k, 71k), and underneath it the size of the army that Giant currently commands (285/285, 220/220, 300/300 Soldiers), so a Giant's threat is never just its own health; the plate prices the hero and the horde in one glance. Colour is the only allegiance marker: cyan plates for allies, yellow for the featured Giant, red for the enemy Dreadnought at the frame's edge, matching the glow of the Soldier waves below. The segmentation matters at this scale, with hundreds of units dying per clash, a smooth bar would smear; ticks make damage countable. Frame at 0:05.0 in the Gameplay Trailer (manual extraction; the scene-change pass caught the UI-less opening wide at 0.90s and nothing else of this beat).

Screen inventory
- four Giant nameplates float over the field, each built the same way: the Giant's name in small caps (Kragg, Stratus, Goliath, Dreadnought), a wide segmented health bar under it, a health figure at its left end (52k, 27k, 122, 71k), and a Soldier count with a person icon under the bar's right end (285/285, 220/220, 300/300, 274/295)
- team colour does the allegiance work: the three allied plates carry cyan bars (Stratus's bar is yellow, the featured player's Giant), the enemy Dreadnought at upper right is named and barred in red
- the segmented bars read as ticks, not a smooth fill, health is countable at a glance in chunks
- below the plates, the armies themselves carry the same colour language: cyan-glowing Soldier waves at left and centre, an orange-lit wave mid-frame, the enemy's red mass at upper right
- no other chrome exists in the frame: no minimap, no ability bar, no timer, the nameplates are the whole HUD
