What to study
The Gold Saucer's Doman Mahjong gets a complete board-game interface transplanted into the MMO without borrowing the MMO's windows: the table is the screen. Discards pool around a centre dial that counts the wall down (47 tiles left, a star marking the live turn), your hand runs face-up along the bottom, and the other three hands stay face-down backs along the edges, hidden information drawn literally. Everything a riichi player tracks is pinned where a glance lands: the four seat cards carry name, wind, portrait and an identical 25000 score with Novice ranks; the top right keeps the round state ('EAST 1'), the dora indicator, and an unhurried 'Time remaining until new hand: 76 minutes'; the bottom right turns the match's etiquette into two visible toggles, 'Auto-declare winning hand: OFF' and 'Calls On'. It is the trailer's only caption-free UI screen. Frame at 0:48.2 in 'FINAL FANTASY XIV Online in 1 Minute' (Steam).

Screen inventory
- the table itself: a green-felt board drawn top-down, the four discard pools arranged around a centre octagon whose dial reads 47, the tiles remaining, with a star marker flagging the current turn at the top pool
- the player's own hand lies face-up along the bottom edge, thirteen tiles plus the drawn tile set apart at the right; the other three hands are honest about hidden information, face-down tile backs along the top, left and right edges
- four player cards pinned to the sides, each with name, seat wind, portrait, score and rank: Ravi Oli, East (starred as dealer), 25000, Novice; Siren Mentor, South, 25000, Novice; Popy Smart, North, 25000, Novice; and the West seat labelled by its title, 'Mahjong Beginner', 25000, Novice, a small chat-bubble icon rides on every card
- top right corner: the round state in gold, 'EAST 1', over two ×0 counters, the dora indicator tile captioned 'Dora (Doman Mahjong)', and a line of plain status text: 'Time remaining until new hand: 76 minutes'
- bottom right: a hint-bulb panel over the match's two house rules as toggles, 'Auto-declare winning hand: OFF' and 'Calls On', a six-icon toolbar, and the keyboard hint 'Ctrl: Show Point Difference'

Source details
Fetched 2026-10-24. verified 2026-10-24: frame v0_0026.png is a scene-change extraction from the Steam HLS download of 'FINAL FANTASY XIV Online in 1 Minute' (h264 1920x1080, 63.5s; full decode-to-null exit 0, zero error bytes), inspected visually at full resolution; the 47-tile centre dial, all four seat cards (Ravi Oli East / Siren Mentor South / Popy Smart North / West 'Mahjong Beginner', all 25000 Novice), the EAST 1 header, the dora caption and both bottom-right toggles all legible; a fresh extraction at 48.202s from the canonical mp4 byte-hash-matches this file exactly (MD5 identical); no trailer caption, watermark or logo overlays the frame. Note: the window is caught in its entrance moment, the North and West cards sit slightly over the right info panel and a ghost of clipped text shows at its edge
