What to study
Lady Luck is a push-your-luck machine reduced to one panel: the rules in three sentences, one button to roll, one tab to accept, and a red-and-white ladder that turns an abstract bust limit, over 12 and you're cursed, into a column you can watch yourself climb, with the prizes pinned beside the rungs they correspond to. The design lesson is the refusal to hide anything: odds, stakes, rewards and the exit are all on the same brown board at the same time, so the tension comes from the player's greed, never from the interface withholding information. Frame at about 0:53 in the 1.0 Launch trailer (Steam; manual extraction, the panel holds, fully stated, between scene cuts).

Screen inventory
- the panel is titled LADY LUCK and states its entire ruleset in three lines of capitals at the top: 'ROLL DICE. YOU CAN STOP AT ANY TIME AND TAKE YOUR CURRENT ITEM. BUT IF YOU GO OVER 12 TOTAL, YOU'LL BE CURSED!', the event needs no tutorial because the panel is the tutorial
- the left half is a single decision drawn large: one pale dice icon over one ROLL DICE button, with the ACCEPT tab waiting at the panel's bottom edge, roll again, or stop, are the only two verbs and each gets exactly one control
- the right half is the risk made visible: a vertical ladder of eleven segments, the lower five filled red and the upper six white, with the prize items aligned to its rungs, a dagger low, then an arrow, armour and a small crowned creature, and a blue-orb wand at the very top, better loot literally sits higher up the danger column
- the panel floats over the dungeon it interrupted: the cave wall and the bottom edge of the backpack show around it, and the hero's 20/40 health line peeks out beneath the ACCEPT tab, the gamble is taken inside the run, at the run's stakes
