What to study
This is the whole game in one frame: a fight where the action bar is a suitcase. The backpack grid floats over the dungeon and the enemies wait beneath it, because what you can do this turn is literally what is inside the bag, and the design pressure is spatial, not numerical. The shield's two-cell height, the armour's two-by-two block and the charm cluster's adjacency are the character build, drawn as packing. Even the bag's outline argues the point: its bent third row means new space arrives in awkward shapes that reward some items and strand others. Frame at about 0:19 in the 1.0 Launch trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v0_0003).

Screen inventory
- the backpack is not a rectangle: two full rows of seven cells sit over a third row of three offset cells, so the bag's silhouette is itself a build constraint, the shield and armour below only fit because the shape bends around them
- items take the space their pictures need: a purple-and-gold shield stands two cells tall in one column, the black armour occupies a two-by-two block, and a pair of boots fills the two cells beneath it, while the left-hand block is a tight two-row cluster of small charms and flowers, the cursor rests on the green bow charm, mid-arrangement
- the fight underneath runs on the same economy: the mouse hero's line reads shield 13 and 55/55 health with a green 1 energy badge, and the three enemies opposite carry red intent pips of 8, a shield badge of 18 on the targeted middle foe, and health lines of 2/96, 96/96 and 48/48
- there are exactly two combat controls on screen: the items in the bag and a single wooden END TURN button at the backpack's right, attacking is not a menu, it is clicking what you packed
