What to study
The Geoscape turns waiting into a schedule: one button (Scan for Activity) advances the world, and the Upcoming Events list prices every wait in days, from the Light Plasma Rifle in 5 days to the Council Report in 18. The globe is the room's centrepiece, but the list on the right is the actual interface, because it is what the player is really managing. Frame at about 5:30 in the XCOM EU The Story Trailer (Steam), manually extracted because the scene-change pass landed on the surrounding base views, not this settled screen.
