What to study

Spotting flips the HUD's colour language: friendly cover stays teal, enemies become red health-and-shield markers, and the two red alien heads at bottom right count the threat without a word. The soldier card (Jesus Sotillo, Heavy Laser) and the six-slot ability bar are the only chrome that survives, because the moment of contact is for aiming, not reading. Frame at about 1:56 in the XCOM EU The Story Trailer (Steam).
