What to study

Most city builders show you a treasury; Workers & Resources shows you an economy, and this panel is the difference. Production, consumption, waste and manpower are all accounted in the same ledger, in quantities and in ruble values, with the honest footnote that those values are calculated from market prices rather than cash in hand. Labour is the most telling line: workdays consumed by industry, construction and citizen facilities, priced at 19.47₽ each, sit in the same table as steel and fuel, people are an input with a unit cost, and the panel makes you read them that way. The date-range controls (this month to all time, March 1983 to today) turn the ledger into an instrument: the same republic, re-measured at any horizon. Frame at about 1:34 in the Gameplay Trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor v0_0042).

  • the panel is a ledger, not a chart: 'Economy and trade' reports Domestic production & consumption with quantities beside ruble values, production Overall 1,026 units at +227,969₽, consumption split into Industry 507 (−91,390₽), Constructions 13 (−2,720₽), Citizens facility 472 (−50,571₽) and Vehicle fuel (−19,131₽), and states plainly that ruble and dollar amounts are values calculated from market prices, not actual money received
  • waste and labour get the same accounting: Waste production by Industry (5, −1,377₽), People (5, −536₽) and Demolition (0), then Consumption of manpower in workdays, Industry 967, Constructions 161, Citizens facility 1,466, with the average cost of 1 workday at 19.47₽, so labour is a priced input like any commodity
  • the reporting window is itself a control: start date 1. March 1983 to 'today', with This month / Last month / This year / Last year / Custom / All presets and month/year steppers, and a tab row of icons (market prices, charts, trade, currencies, resources) across the panel's top, the same ledger re-cut by period and by question
  • the left management rail stays visible beside the panel, and behind it the republic continues: tower blocks, statues, a red star monument and the road grid of a mature city, so the economy is read against the place it describes rather than on a blank screen
