What to study

The everyday HUD is two clusters and nothing else. Bottom left, three tall capsule meters stand in a row, pink, green and blue, each filled with chunky segments like a pocket thermometer: health, stamina and magic with no numerals anywhere, readable by colour and fill alone (here pink and green are full, blue sits at half). Top right, three black circles hold the equipped loadout: the sword, which never gets a number, and two consumables that do, a red fruit and a striped potion, each with a small count badge reading 3. Everything else the player needs is pushed into the world: the hooded enemies on this bridge carry orange exclamation marks over their heads when alerted, so enemy state is diegetic while player state is chrome. The isometric scene, a stone bridge over green water, stays completely unobstructed between the two clusters. Frame at about 0:52 in the Tunic Launch Trailer (Steam), pipeline candidate candidates/v0_0010.png at 52.4s, copied unchanged (MD5 matches the candidate).

Screen inventory

  • three tall segmented capsule meters at bottom left: pink filled to the top, green filled to the top, blue filled to about half, each built from chunky blocks with a black outline
  • three circular item slots at top right: a sword with no count, a red apple-like fruit with a count badge '3', and a striped potion bottle with a count badge '3'
  • orange exclamation-mark alert icons floating over two hooded green enemies on the bridge (in-world enemy state markers, not HUD chrome)
  • the fox mid-fight on a stone bridge over green water, sword and a glowing blue item in hand, facing a hooded green enemy swinging curved blades
