What to study

Gust's Atelier lineage shows in the bones of this screen: a recipe is not a line in a list but a small document, what it is, what goes in, and the process it demands (Pestle 2, then Furnace), laid out on a paper card before any crafting happens. The list at left is honest about state: recipes you cannot make sit greyed rather than hidden, and filter tabs sort the book by kind. Maomao's portrait does the work a crafting station would in another game; compounding is her skill, so she presents the screen. One disclosure: this is the game's announcement trailer, and its edit burns a 'Compounding' feature ribbon and a caption across the lower edge of the frame, the underlying screen is the game's own, complete and legible behind them.
