What to study

An auction reduced to temperament and arithmetic. The three rival houses are not bid histories but characters with current moods - two have already Abandoned, the Veiled Lady is Interested - so the player's real decision is which fixed increment (5, 10, 25 or 50) scares her off without overpaying for their own ring. Selling your craft to named collectors closes the game's loop: the stones you priced at the bench are priced back at you. Frame at about 0:45 in the PV-EN video (Steam), found by the dense 1-frame/2s review pass and inspected at full resolution in this run.

Screen inventory

  • centre, the lot on its tufted leather cushion before the auctioneer's desk: Blue ZirconGoldRing (the game runs the words together), current bid 410 under a crown-coin icon, a thin timer bar draining beneath
  • left, the rival roster as portrait cards with one-word live dispositions: Gentleman in Red - Abandon; Veiled Lady - Interested (green mask icon); Cloth-Wrapped Believer - Abandon - the room's intent is readable at a glance
  • right, under a Your registered lots banner, the Bid Up ladder as four fixed buttons: 5, 10, 25, 50 - no free-text bidding, the increments are the strategy
  • a fast-forward control sits at the cushion's right; wallet bottom-left 600, build stamp Playtest0.1.0 6/5/26
