What to study

The most important document in the game cannot be read: inside the derelict Community Center, a golden plaque presents its message, a header and five neat lines, entirely in the glyph script of the Junimo, the forest spirits who tend the building. The presentation is pure ceremony: an ornate gold frame of leaves and circles, a pale tree watermarked behind the text, a small red X to close the panel. Withholding the translation is the design: the plaque is a promise that this room's bundle altars mean something, and learning to read it becomes a quest objective in itself, so the interface treats the text as an artefact to be earned rather than information to be served.
