What to study
A meteor shower is one of Spiritfarer's sailing events: comets rain on the boat and Stella runs the decks collecting what they drop. The trailer catches the collection moment, and the game's whole reward language fits in two teal ribbons pinned to the left edge of the screen. The upper ribbon pairs a gold coin icon with a running total, '1280 glims', the game's currency; the lower pairs a pale crystal icon with 'Comet Rock' and an 'x2' count. No fanfare, no centred banner, no pause: the haul accumulates in the peripheral vision while the event is still exploding overhead, which is exactly where a collection feed belongs in a game this committed to never stopping the picture. What the ribbons are pinned to matters as much as the ribbons. The frame is the entire floating village in cross-section under an eclipse: sunflower terrace and garden plot at left, orchard room amidships with Stella and her cat under the fruit trees, cabins and a sheep pen to starboard, passengers waiting out the shower on the lower decks. Spiritfarer's HUD stays this quiet because the boat itself is the status screen; the only numbers the game ever needs to add are what you just picked up. Frame at about 1:21 in the Farewell Edition Launch Trailer (Steam), pipeline candidate candidates/v0_0028.png at 80.67s, copied unchanged (MD5 matches the candidate). No trailer burn-in is present in this frame.
