What to study
Solasta's battle screen is a D&D action economy drawn as furniture. The bottom bar does not list everything a character can do in one strip: main actions fill the wide centre tiles, the single bonus action gets its own narrower tile, and End Turn is a green hourglass labelled PASS, a player can read what a turn costs from the shape of the bar. Above it, initiative is a row of faces with hit points, and the game is honest about fog of war inside that row: three enemies appear as red-eyed masks at '60/60' under the truncated name 'Unknown C…'. The dice are not hidden either, the log's first line is the initiative roll itself, '8+3 = 11', stated as arithmetic. Even movement is doubled: a cyan path line plus a translucent copy of Nialla standing where she will end up, so distance and destination are judged together. Frame at about 0:46 in the Dungeon Maker Trailer (Steam; scene-change extraction, this is the trailer's playtest battle, fought inside a player-built dungeon).

Screen inventory
- the initiative order is a portrait row across the top: Anton 43/43, Nialla 32/32, three Unknown Creatures at 60/60 with red-glowing masked faces, Tanya 43/43, Berden 59/59, unidentified enemies are shown as masks with full HP, named only as 'Unknown C…'
- top-right, the combat log does the dice arithmetic in the open: 'Unknown Creature rolls initiative: 8+3 = 11', followed by 'Game auto saved', the roll, its modifier and the total are one line of text
- bottom-left, the active character card: Nialla, 'lvl 5 Wizard (Shock Arcanist)', HP '32 OF 32 HP', AC 13, an INVENTORY button, and a vertical column of six blue movement pips marked '6 OF 6'
- the action bar is split by economy, not by type: MAIN ACTIONS (ATTACK, disengage, dodge, CAST SPELL, READY, HIDE, dash, shove, USE ITEM with a potion icon badged '1'), then a separate BONUS tile (CAST SPELL) and a green PASS tile (END TURN)
- a cyan line runs from Nialla's ghosted destination figure across the torch-lit stone grid to her current position at bottom-right, movement is previewed as a path plus a translucent body, not just highlighted squares
- bottom-right, a circular dial reads 'Round 1', PAUSE and 'In Battle', with JOURNAL and MENU buttons beneath, the round counter is a compass-like instrument, not a number in a corner bar
