What to study
The exploration HUD is the battle HUD with its sleeves rolled down, and that continuity is the design. The initiative row across the top folds into a party column down the left; the wide MAIN ACTIONS bar contracts to five CHARACTER ACTIONS in identical tiles; the character card in the corner does not move at all. A player who learned combat already knows where everything is while crossing a chain of floating islands. Two things change their meaning instead: the round dial becomes a clock ('10:35:51 AM' over the location name 'The Ego'), and the log stops being a dice record and becomes the game's memory, kills, then recorded conversations with names like TOO EASY and MIND-BOGGLING, each kept one click away. Frame at about 0:55 in the 1.0 Launch Trailer (Steam; scene-change extraction).

Screen inventory
- outside combat the party becomes a vertical portrait column on the left edge, four faces with HP readouts 44/64, 92/92, 51/51 and 73/73, replacing the top initiative row the battle screen uses
- bottom-left, the selected character card persists from combat: Ellie, 'lvl 10 Cleric (Oblivion)', HP '73 OF 73 HP', AC 16, an INVENTORY button, and her weapon sets (crossbow, bow, torch) as small switchable tiles above it
- the action bar shrinks to five CHARACTER ACTIONS, ATTACK (crossbow badged '4'), CAST SPELL, USE POWER, CAUTIOUS, USE ITEM, the exploration verb set is a subset of the battle bar, in the same place and the same tile language
- top-right, the log mixes systems without distinction: 'Green Dragon sustains damage', 'Green Dragon is now Dead', then four 'Conversation Recorded' entries, TOO EASY, THE MAZE, FIND A WAY OUT, MIND-BOGGLING, each with a 'Click to read' link
- right edge, the quest tracker states one objective only, 'GEM QUEST: THE MIND OF THE MASTER / Find Another Fragment of the Gem', above the circular dial, which out of battle reads as a clock, '10:35:51 AM', PAUSE, and the location name 'The Ego'
- the party stands on separate floating tiled islands over a violet void, the game's signature vertical exploration space, and the HUD makes no concession to it: same bar, same cards, floating with the world
