What to study

Mini Motorways' whole interface is the road network itself, and this Dubai frame is the design at full stretch: colour pairs each house with its destination, a stack of map pins on a destination counts how many cars it is waiting for, and the two premium tools, elevated motorways with numbered shields, bridges over the creek, read as pure geometry with no text, numbers panel or legend anywhere. Even congestion is drawn, not counted: the queue of pink and yellow cars bunching at the motorway 2 on-ramp is the warning. Frame at about 0:25 in the Release Trailer (Steam), a pipeline scene-change extraction inspected at full resolution (1920x1080) in this prep; the trailer's map segments use the shipped game's exact visual system and read as in-game map captures under a moving camera rather than a HUD-on recording, no in-game chrome (score, day, road budget, weekly upgrade draft) appears at any timestamp, disclosed in the elements.

Screen inventory

  • white drawn roads on a sand ground linking colour-coded houses (small two-tone blocks: magenta, teal, yellow-orange) to matching large destinations, the colour match is the whole routing rule, no labels or legend
  • destinations carry their demand as stacked map pins: two pins on the magenta square (left) and the purple square (lower right), three on the round teal building (centre left), four on the round yellow building (centre), one on each teal square, pin count is the queue, read at a glance
  • two elevated pink motorways cross the map as smooth diagonals with numbered shield badges '2' (lower left to centre) and '1' (right edge), motorways ignore the street grid and their number is their name
  • a pale turquoise creek (labelled in Arabic, Dubai Creek) cuts across the middle; ordinary roads cross it on short bridges marked by paired black ticks, while the motorways simply fly over
  • one roundabout (lower centre left, a ring with a hollow centre) where several streets meet; small black-ring traffic-light markers with green dots sit on two junctions to the right
  • cars as tiny solid colour rectangles everywhere, on streets, queued at the motorway 2 on-ramp (lower left), and crossing bridges, traffic state is shown, never numbered
