What to study

Mini Motorways' entire demand model isolated by the trailer's own staged zoom: a destination is a colour block, its need is a map pin sitting on its corner, one pin here, stacked pins when the need grows, and a car of the same colour on the road you drew is the answer. Three elements, no numbers, no text, and the same pin glyph scales unchanged from this poster-size close-up to the four-pin stacks on the full Dubai and Manila maps. Frame at about 0:17 in the Release Trailer (Steam), a manual extraction inspected at full resolution (1920x1080) in this prep; the enlargement is the trailer's staging and is disclosed in the elements, exactly as with the Mini Metro precedent in this catalog.

Screen inventory

  • one large magenta-pink square destination filling the right half of frame, drawn as a thick slab with a darker pink base layer and a small notch at its bottom edge, the building as a pure colour block with a long soft shadow
  • on its top-left corner, a single black map pin with a white outline and a pink centre dot, one unit of waiting demand, the same glyph that stacks to two, three and four on the full-map frames
  • a single white road runs in from the left along the bottom and turns up into the building's plot (a pale rounded rectangle); on it, one small pink car, motion-softened, travelling toward the destination, supply answering the pin
  • the background is only the pale grid of unbuilt city blocks: no streets, no other buildings, no text, the trailer holds this two-glyph composition (pin = demand, car = service) before pulling out to the full maps
