What to study

The game's one full interface screen in the trailer, and the clearest statement of its minimal HUD philosophy. The map shows only what the player has already seen: explored rooms as blue outlines, everything else black, so the map itself becomes the record of exploration rather than a guide to it. The player marker is a small yellow blob, the candle markers are the only other annotations, and there is no legend, no coordinates readout, and no quest list. The gold frame and the dimmed world behind it keep the map feeling like a layer over the game rather than a separate menu. Frame at about 35.0s in the Release Date Trailer (Steam), where the map is fully rendered and identical at 35.5s. No trailer burn-in or caption on this frame.
