What to study

A theme change done as an inversion, not a re-skin: at night the ground goes near-black and the roads stop being light shapes and become dark shapes held together by their pale outlines, while every information-bearing colour, destination magenta and blue, house yellow and purple, the motorway's pink, the pins themselves, is left untouched, so nothing learned in the day needs relearning. The bridge over the river even gains white edge rails that the day version does not need. Frame at about 0:29 in the Release Trailer (Steam), a manual extraction inspected at full resolution (1920x1080) in this prep; the trailer's day-to-night crossfade ghosts the frames either side of this moment, disclosed in the elements, and no HUD chrome appears at any timestamp.

Screen inventory

  • the same Tokyo road design restated in the game's night palette: near-black ground, roads as dark bands edged in pale grey-white so the network glows by outline rather than by fill
  • motorway '1' still reads instantly, a deep pink diagonal with a white-outlined shield, crossing the dark river (faint kanji label) on a bridge whose edges are picked out in white
  • a roundabout at the left with its hollow white-ring centre, two cars (yellow, pale blue) circulating; destinations keep their day colours (two magenta squares with one and two pins, a pale blue square with one pin) so colour-matching survives the theme change
  • houses at the right sit on the far bank as yellow and purple blocks, some still on short unconnected road stubs, at night the unbuilt edge of the city is as readable as the built core
