What to study

Scanning pays off as paperwork inside the helmet. The Scan Visor freezes the world, centres a framed window on the scanned subject, and files the result in two parts: a holographic creature card slides in at left (the Log Book's new entry, drawn as a blue wireframe animal) while a text box at the bottom delivers the sentence that matters, 'A new [Creatures] entry has been downloaded to your Log Book.', with the category word picked out in red and an A prompt to dismiss. Energy stays pinned at the top throughout: even knowledge arrives as a visor state, never as a separate menu screen. This moment is NOT a scene-change candidate, the trailer holds on the visor while the text types in, so extraction missed it; it was found on the dense 1-frame/2s filmstrip and fine-scanned at 0.5s intervals (complete text at 41.5s; at 41.0s the sentence is still typing). Frame at about 0:41.5 in the launch trailer (YouTube), manual extraction manual-scan-complete-41_5.png.
