What to study
Changing visors changes what the game is allowed to show. The X-Ray Visor throws away the radar, the map and most of the frame furniture, flattens Tallon IV's ruins to a monochrome sketch, and spends all of that contrast on one thing: the Chozo Ghost, invisible in normal light, rendered solid white with its weak points in red inside a wide segmented targeting ring. The mode names itself in small text at lower left, 'X-Ray Visor', next to the selector that chose it, because in this game a vision mode is a tool you equip, not a filter you apply. The trailer reaches this frame through a labelled Combat Visor stretch (53–55.5s) and a transition the scene-change pass caught only mid-fade (candidate v0_0018.png at 56.3s, HUD already stripped); the labelled, settled frame was fine-scanned at 0.5s intervals and extracted manually at 57.0s. Frame at about 0:57 in the launch trailer (YouTube), manual extraction manual-xray-visor-57_0.png.
