What to study
Pre-mission squad assembly is a character showcase first and a menu second: three heroes idle on a lit platform while the left rail carries their portraits, the difficulty chip and a single combat-item slot, and the mission header states the objective above it all. The layout shows how Midnight Suns treats the roster as the loadout - picking who fights is the build decision, and the game gives that choice a full 3D stage rather than a list. Frame at about 0:13 in the Card Gameplay trailer (Steam). Flaw: Spider-Man on the left is caught mid-animation and motion-blurred.
