What to study
The lord's household troops get the screen usually reserved for an RPG party. The Selbitz Retinue stands at 6 of 12, its members a row of helmet medallions, and the selected retainer stands full-length at centre, Cuntz, in a parti-coloured blue-and-grey gambeson, spear in hand, while the interface works around him. The hovered action is economic rather than heroic: RECRUIT MEN-AT-ARMS costs 50 from the TREASURY, 'to hire a retainer who already owns basic military equipment', measured against the 147 shown under his feet. His whole record is two lines, a quirk, 'Steals anything that catches his eye', and a skull-marked Defeated foes tally, and his future is four locked tiers of slots (I–IV) plus Armor upgrades. At the right, Personalization turns the soldier into heraldry: Body, Weapon, Block, Helmet and Accessory stepped through with arrows and colour swatches, so a retinue can be told apart on the field by its livery alone. Frame at about 1:10 in the Launch Trailer video (Steam), manually extracted at 70.0s: the scene-change pass emitted no frame inside the retinue segment (its neighbours are the night camp at 65.5s and the battle at 85.7s).

Fetched 2026-10-21. verified 2026-10-21: frame manually extracted at 70.0s from the pipeline-downloaded Launch Trailer (Steam) and inspected visually at full resolution (1920x1080 native); genuine in-game retinue screen confirmed settled and legible (unit name and 6/12 count, the full recruit tooltip text and cost, the quirk line, all five Personalization row labels and the treasury figure all readable; a probe at 71.0s shows the same screen on the next retainer (Fritz, 7/12) with an armor-import tooltip, bracketing the segment; the filmstrip frame at ~70s matches); this Launch Trailer version carries NO 'WORK IN PROGRESS' watermark, that burn-in appears only in the older Release Date Trailer's version of the same screen, the only corner text is the game's own EARLY ACCESS (0.6.96) version mark
