What to study
Manor Lords has no grid, and this frame is the system that replaces it. A burgage plot is drawn by dropping four points on the grass: the dashed outline bends around the road and the neighbours' fences, and the readout prices the gesture the moment it closes, Plot points 4/4, Burgage plots 2, Construction cost 4 timber. Inside the hatched outline the game pre-answers the two questions every plot raises: house glyphs show where the dwellings will stand along the road frontage, and house-plus glyphs reserve the extension slots behind them, so the backyard economy of gardens and workshops is planned in the same stroke as the houses. Around the drawing sit the mode's working tools, a hint bar that names every click (PLACE_AREA_POINT, Road connection point, HOUSE_POSITION, EXTENSION_SLOT), a SNAP TO ROADS toggle for players who want the organic shape disciplined, the building-card palette below, and at the right edge the OVERLAY list (Underground Water, Emmer/Flax/Barley/Rye Fertility) ready to recolour this same ground. Frame at about 0:32 in the Launch Trailer video (Steam), manually extracted at 31.5s: the scene-change pass emitted no frame inside the plot-drawing segment (its neighbours are the road spline at 28.0s and a street scene at 37.1s).

- inside the hatched plot interior, two white house-position glyphs and two house-plus extension-slot glyphs mark where the houses will stand and where backyard extensions are reserved
- a road-connection line being drawn along the plot's top edge, with its own smaller circular nodes, tying the new plots to the street
- the hint bar under the scene naming every verb of the mode: PLACE_AREA_POINT, CANCEL, Road connection point, HOUSE_POSITION, EXTENSION_SLOT, with the SNAP TO ROADS checkbox ticked below it

Fetched 2026-10-21. verified 2026-10-21: frame manually extracted at 31.5s from the pipeline-downloaded Launch Trailer (Steam) and inspected visually at full resolution (1920x1080 native); genuine in-game plot-drawing mode confirmed settled and legible (plot-points card, both glyph types, hint bar, overlay list and top-bar figures all readable; a probe at 32.5s shows the same mode a second later starting the next plot at 0/4, and the road-drawing shot at 30.0s precedes the segment); no trailer typography overlays the frame, the only text in the corner is the game's own EARLY ACCESS (0.6.97) version mark
