What to study
Placement UI that trusts the player with the machinery: the ghost is a full hologram (not a silhouette), its three manipulation verbs orbit it as labelled bubbles, and the footer states the two settings players actually hunt for - eyedropper on R, snap-to-grid currently Off - in words. The 88/20 placeables count is the honest touch: the cap is information, not a wall. Frame at about 0:24 in the Release Date Trailer (Steam), a scene-change survivor (v1_0009 at 24.1s) inspected at full resolution in this run.

Screen inventory
- centre, the Cottagecore Bed as a translucent cyan hologram mid-placement, a four-way move glyph at its heart and three prompt bubbles orbiting it: rotate (Q-E), raise/lower with a mouse icon, and place (F)
- top-left, the mode chrome: a Decorating header with a house icon and a Furniture category pill; top-right, camera and exit prompts (V-E, Esc-E)
- bottom-right, the item tag: a Cottagecore Bed chip with a 0 count, and under it Other Placeables: 88/20 - the room is twenty items over the soft cap and the game simply reports it
- bottom prompt bar: R Toggle Eyedropper, M Snap to Grid: Off, Esc Cancel - the eyedropper and the grid state are named, not icon-only; the player character alexia watches from the bottom edge, her dog Sir Barksalot at left
