What to study
Blue Prince's map is the game: a drafting sheet where the house you have built today exists as coloured floorplan tiles on a numbered grid, each tile a top-down drawing of the room it names. Because rooms are drafted blind from a doorway, this sheet is where strategy actually happens, counting door connectors, checking which colours cluster, reading a selected tile's enlarged plan and its printed rule ('Green Rooms do not cost a gem to draft') before deciding whether the day's remaining 61 steps justify pushing one rank higher. The inventory is not a separate screen but the same sheet's right-hand margin, its items sketched in white like chalk annotations, and the day ends by pressing the sheet's own CALL IT A DAY button. One surface carries map, rules, resources and the quit decision, all inside the blueprint conceit. Frame at about 0:55 in the Atmospheric Trailer (Steam; manual extraction, the trailer's dissolves left only a handful of scene-change survivors, none of them this screen).

Screen inventory
- the whole run on one blue sheet: the 5-by-9 estate grid at left with axis numbers along the top and bottom, the grey ANTECHAMBER tile fixed at the top, and every room drafted so far pasted in as a small coloured floorplan, orange Hallway and Corridor, red Chapel, green Terrace, the black Entrance Hall at the bottom, joined by thick black door connectors so the house reads as a route, not a list
- selecting a tile enlarges it in the centre: TERRACE in a green frame with its rule written on the plan itself, 'Green Rooms do not cost [gem] to draft', the map doubles as the rulebook for the room you are inspecting
- the right side is the desk drawer: a resource column under the handwritten '« Day 2' (61 steps, 1 key, 3 gems, 3 coins, 2 dice), an INVENTORY panel whose items are white line drawings with handwritten labels (COIN PURSE, SHOVEL, CAR KEYS, MAGNIFYING GLASS), a star-allowance counter, and the moon-icon CALL IT A DAY button that ends the run
- everything is drawn in the same blueprint language, white linework and handwriting on drafting blue, so map, inventory and resources never leave the fiction of the architect's sheet
