What to study
Drafting is Blue Prince's core verb, and the screen is a card draft laid over the world: three floorplans on a strip of blueprint paper, each drawn as the room it creates, each carrying its rule in one sentence. The design work is in how much the cards disclose, shape and door positions from the plan view, purpose from the caption, price from the gem annotation, because the placement is permanent for the day and the wrong room can wall off the house. Colour does quiet taxonomic work (blue rooms, gold shop, red penalty rooms elsewhere in the trailers), and the drafting instruments framing the band keep the fiction intact: you are not picking from a menu, you are drawing the next room. Disclosure: the pink handwritten 'GEM REQUIREMENT' callouts are the trailer's own annotations, burned in to explain the cost system; the cards, band and HUD are the game's. Frame at about 0:38 in the Release Trailer (Steam; manual extraction, scene-change survivors missed this settled band).

Screen inventory
- the choice is a horizontal band of blueprint paper unrolled across the doorway itself, framed by a glass set square at left and an L-ruler at right: three room cards, each a top-down floorplan photograph of the room it will build, DINING ROOM, LOCKSMITH, MUSIC ROOM, under the spaced capitals 'SELECT A ROOM TO DRAFT' and a dimension line marked 98"
- each card sells itself in one line of plain text with an icon: the Dining Room's cloche and 'Each day, a meal is served in the DINING ROOM after Rank 8 has been reached', the Locksmith's keyhole portrait and 'Keys for Sale', the Music Room's '1 Major [key], 1 Minor [key]', function, economy and contents all readable before committing
- frame colour is the rarity/type signal: blue for the Dining and Music Rooms, gold for the Locksmith, and below two cards the trailer's pink handwritten annotation 'GEM REQUIREMENT' arrows to one and two gem icons, the drafting cost is part of the card, not a checkout surprise
- the run persists around the band: footprint steps (33) top-left, gems (1) and coins (3) top-right, and 'Blueprint Map' lettered at lower left, you are choosing the next room of a house that already exists, standing in its doorway
