What to study
The Coat Check is Blue Prince's only bank: the house resets every night, but an item checked here, for the price of the steps it takes to reach the room, can be retrieved on a later day, and the screen sells that persistence through a single oversized prop. The claim ticket is the whole interface: inventory list on the stub, the chosen item drawn and numbered on the ticket, legal joke in the fine print. Even the two verbs are physical, wooden cloakroom tags (CHECK ITEM / RETRIEVE ITEM), and the counter dressing, bell, cubbies, numbered tags, somebody else's fedora, does the worldbuilding a storage grid never could. It is the same design language as the blueprint and the item cards, applied to the game's most strategic decision: what is worth carrying across the reset. Frame at about 1:00 in the Atmospheric Trailer (Steam; scene-change survivor candidates/v3_0003.png at 59.0s is this same screen a second earlier, with the Wind-Up Key selected).

Screen inventory
- the storage menu is a cloakroom counter: at left the room's name is lettered under a line-drawn hanger (COAT CHECK) above two wooden tag buttons, CHECK ITEM lit, RETRIEVE ITEM greyed, with the current claim tag '102' pinned beside them and an EXIT tag at the counter's lower-left corner
- the centre is one giant claim ticket split by a perforation line: the left stub is the handwritten inventory ('SELECT AN ITEM TO CHECK', WIND-UP KEY, SLEDGE HAMMER, COMPASS, the selected item highlighted in yellow), the right stub is the ticket itself, 'CLAIM TICKET 102' with the selected item drawn and lettered (SLEDGE HAMMER, with a size arrow) and the joke fine print 'NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR CONTENT OF GARMENTS OR ARTICLES LEFT OVERNIGHT.'
- the fiction is fully dressed around the panel: numbered cubbies and hanging coats behind the counter, a service bell and loose claim tickets on the wood, a COAT CHECK desk sign and a fedora waiting at right, the menu never leaves the room it belongs to
- the run's state frames it: only 4 footprint steps remain top-left, against keys (4), gems (4) and coins (1) top-right, and the location caption 'Coat Check, Rank 6' at lower right, checking an item is what you do with the last steps of a day, because checked items are the one thing that survives the nightly reset
