What to study
Wasteland 3's aimed shot turns one attack into a small decision ceremony: the battlefield disappears, the target fills a graduated red reticle, and the only question left is which part of the animal to gamble on. Each tab prices its own risk in the open, HEAD pays +25% damage with a coin-flip at +75% more, so the player is choosing a bet, not reading a percentage. Seconds later the same ring shows LEGS (55-67 damage, reduces Combat Speed by 0.8, 30% chance of Bleeding): three tabs, three genuinely different tactical ideas, one screen. The scanlines and dial markings keep it diegetic, a scope, not a spreadsheet. Frame at about 0:44 in the Wasteland 3 Gameplay trailer (Steam; manual extraction, the ring cycles BODY, HEAD and LEGS inside two seconds and the scene-change pass missed the beat entirely). The scanline texture is the game's in-game scope effect, disclosed here; it is not a capture artifact.

Screen inventory
- an aimed shot takes over the whole screen: the camera pushes in on the target, here a giant yellow-spotted frog, inside a red scope ring graduated like a dial, degree numbers and tick marks running around the rim with a segmented red arc tracking at the left
- body parts are three tabs arranged around the animal: BODY at left, HEAD selected in a filled red bar at right, LEGS below it, picking a part is picking a trade, not just a hit chance
- the selected part's card floats over the target: HEAD, 69-84 DAMAGE, 'Deals +25% bonus damage' and '50% Chance: Deals +75% bonus damage', the gamble stated as two stacked bonuses, while a CANCEL button in matching red brackets waits at lower right
- a fine scanline texture runs across the whole overlay, the game's own scope styling: the shot is presented as something seen through a lens, not a menu, and the UI never breaks that fiction with a panel border
